Theatre of the Dales' Free Show Tomorrow!
If you missed it at HEART, come and see it at FULL CIRCLE. It's Theatre of
the Dales' double-bill of 84, Charing Cross Road and Literary Lovers,
two lively and remarkable shows created entirely out of letters. They're at
Full Circle Arts Cafe on Kirkstall Road, directly opposite Yorkshire TV's
Reception, tomorrow (Wednesday July 4th). The programme starts at 8pm and
is FREE.
The first piece, David Robertson's selection of Helene Hanff's witty
correspondence with a London secondhand bookshop, lends a touching nuance
to the term boooklovers, while the second takes a lighthearted look at
Bernard Shaw's love affairs - by post! - with the leading actresses of his
day. Trio Literati members Maggie Mash and Jane Oakshott play Ellen Terry
and Mrs. Patrick Campbell and David is GBS.
Theatre of the Dales' summer Shakespeare is The Comedy of Errors, now in
rehearsal and opening with two FREE previews at Dagmar Wood at 3pm and 7pm
on Saturday 14th at Dagmar Wood opposite 1, Grosvenor Road, LS6 2DZ. Again
in Dagmar, the following Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm and the rest of the
week at Kirkstall Abbey.
More details including the full Yorkshire tour are on
www.theatreofthedales.co.uk.
Hope to see you there at one or more of these!
Best wishes
Hazel
