Local day out

Hi everyone,

I have my mother-in-law coming tomorrow from South Africa and I would like to show her some local delights. She is staying for 2 nights before she goes to see other family.

If the weather is good I will take her on the Meanwood Trail for a walk but wondered if anyone had any ideas for other local things to do/go see. Needs to be local to meanwood/headingley we don't have our car at the moment.

Could anyone recommend some nice cafes in the area for tea and scones etc? Or anything else?
