Domestic Help

Dear all I am wondering if one of you has a fabulous contact I might be able to make use of..... My elderly cousin and local Headingley resident, has recently had a stroke. She is ok in many ways however her speech is muddled. She has also had a bad back for many years which limits her physical confidence. Since a spell in LGI she has been home with NHS support and regular visits from myself and her siblings (she has no children). We feel it would be a great help to her, as well as reducing our commitment and worry, if she could find someone who could visit once a week perhaps for 2 or 3 hours - maybe to do a bit of cleaning, sometimes to take her shopping (car driver ideal) or do other little errands in or out of her home as well as being company for her. This person would need somewhat saintly patience as it wouldn't be the easiest of tasks! If you think this might be you, or you know of someone suitable, could you let me know - I would be very grateful. Ruth Ker

Sorry - a query already showing lack of information below. Yes, a paid position, whatever is a reasonable going rate for whatever help can be offered I would hazard a guess. Louise on 07505355622 might be worth a try. She has been a home care assistant for about 10 years. I was talking to her mother yesterday. She is CRB checked and has about 10 years experience in care homes. Trevor
