It's held at Oblong the community arts project on Thursday nights from 6-8pm and costs £2 per year to join. Basically you can buy almost any dried/tinned groceries at wholesale prices plus 10% so it's cheaper than the supermarkets and the larger the quantity purchased the cheaper it is. The range of products on offer can be see at www.lembas.co.uk . You order one week and pick up the next.

The Food Co-Op works by purchasing bulk quantites of healthy, mainly organic, vegan food direct from wholesalers to sell on at cost price. This allows people to make large savings compared to shop prices, so you can eat well without emptying your wallets! There's plenty of fair trade products and environmentally friendly household goods too.
You can make monthly bulk orders to fill your shelves, or use the Co-Op Cupboard in Oblong to stock up on things like soya milk, pulses, washing up liquid, toothpaste, chocolate, nuts, grains, etc.

Lembas are the wholesalers we order from, based in Sheffield. Everything you see in their online catalogue is available from the Co-Op. The catalogue has a good search facility, so take a look around!
