Headingley Music Festival
This year the festival boasts more than 20 events over 9 days at locations throughout Headingley and the surrounding areas. The line-up includes musicians such as Bassa Bassa and the Mike Conliff Trio and events such as the much anticipated Youth Day and Tea Dance.
The idea of the Headingley Festival originated from a desire to bring our community together through the focus of music and celebration.
The festival originated as the winning proposal in a 'Dragon's Den' style competition held during the AGM of Headingley Development Trust (HDT) in February 2009. The first festival took place from 3rd-9th May 2010, when local businesses held a unified week of exciting promotions culminating in a packed and lively weekend of music and arts events which took place alongside Headingley Development Trust's monthly Farmers' Market.
Following last year's success, we hope that the festival will become a regular event which, through fun and celebration of our local community, will widen the perception of Headingley in Leeds.
Everything you need to know about the festival is available on the www.headingleymusicfestival.com website including the programme, archive and information on venues and purchasing tickets.
