Leeds LETS Scheme

LETS stands for Local Exchange Trading System. It allows people to trade with each other for goods and services, whether they are individuals, community groups, or businesses. Instead of money it uses 'community currency'. It's a form of mutual credit and everyone has something to benefit by being a member, not just because you can get things done without paying cash money, and earn credits, but because it can be a very powerful tool for social cohesion.
