What's Happening at Left Bank Leeds
Left Bank Leeds, in the former St Margaret’s church on Cardigan Rd, is taking shape. Two thirds of the roof repairs have now been completed and we have electricity and running water in the building!
To find out what’s been happening recently, please see the news page on our new website, http://www.leftbankleeds.org.uk/main/news.html
As well as fundraising for the next stage of development work, we’re working on some events at Left Bank later in the year. CAN YOU HELP US WITH THEM?
We’ll be open as part of the national HERITAGE OPEN DAYS scheme on SATURDAY 12th & SUNDAY 13th SEPTEMBER.
Then, in December, we’ll be running an ADVENT ART EXHIBITION, which will be open over 4 weekends before Christmas, 28th November – 20th December, with workshops and special events, including a TRADITIONAL CAROL SERVICE on Sunday 13th December, with music from the Heritage Masterworks Choir.
We need help with
· planning and publicising the events
· researching and preparing an exhibition about the history of the building
· stewarding and organising activities on the day, from making tea to doing art with kids
· finding a few more ARTISTS to take part in the Advent exhibition
PLEASE get in touch if you can get involved – we’ve got a whole range of jobs to be done, needing lots of different skills, so even if you’ve only got a few hours available, we’re sure there’s something you’ll enjoy doing!
You can contact us at whatshappening@leftbankleeds.org.uk or call Vik on 07869 107647.
Thanks!
