EUROPEAN PREMIERE OF “APPOMATTOX” BY PHILIP GLASS
The unique success of Leeds Youth Opera (LYO) and its international renown productions, highlights the cultural depth and diversity of Leeds, and opens up the world of Modern Opera to new public audiences. Everyone is welcome.
With Phillip Glass, LYO bridges the Atlantic ocean, to bring the election of the 1st Black President of the USA, the end of the American civil war and the history of the struggle for black equality, to the stage of the Carriageworks in July, along with members of the Leeds Youth Orchestra.
8 TO 11 JULY 2009 European Premiere - Not suitable for young children.
