Beck Arts Group (BAG)

Beck Arts Group (BAG) is a friendly group of artists, writers and musicians situated mostly around the Monkbridge Road / Highburys area.

Meeting about every 6 weeks in a members house (usually on a Sunday evening) for discussion of developing creative projects work and planning of events. 

The Beck Arts Trail was instigated two years ago enabling visits to  artist's homes and studios in the area and is held early December. 

Open Mike music and poetry session are held at local venues, currently at St Chads bar area every few weeks.

In 2007 a park festival was held at Meanwood Park.

The group is  friendly and supportive of each others work, and takes its name from the Meanwood Beck.
