HEART needs your help

HDT recently stepped up its efforts to ensure HEART, the enterprise and arts project planned for Bennett Road Primary School, becomes reality. Having got through the first round of assessments in an application to the heavily oversubscribed Community Asset Fund, HEART found itself up against stiff competition and lost out.

Disappointed but undaunted, Headingley Development Trust remains confident that it can put together a funding package that will bring the project to fruition. They have firm political support behind the project but need to show ‘substantial progress’ in their fundraising by the end of June in order to keep the school from being reconsidered for alternative development. So the next three months are crucial.

It is the support and commitment of the local community that will help to bring this exciting project to a successful conclusion. We are in the process of re-launching the share issue. We had already raised over £51,000 from the previous issue. If you are not already an investor, but have the capacity to invest the minimum stake of £100, then contact HDT now and make your stake in a real community owned project.
