The aim of headingley.org is to support and strengthen the real-life community of Headingley.

We hope that, when you are on the streets, you will bump in to the people you have met on-line and be able to say 'hello'.

As Headingley is a real community, real names are needed to build real-world links.
We have a policy of not allowing avatars or pseudonyms as this would result in a semi-virtual community, with less connection to the real one.

We even encourage people to upload pictures of themselves, in their personal profiles, so that other residents can recognise them.
