Headingley in Bloom
We are placing half-barrels around the war memorial at St Michaels and brightening the grass verge fronting Salvos restaurant with 1000 daffodil and crocus bulbs donated by Groundwork Leeds.
For 2008 we are planting a colourful display of spring and summer bedding designed by local children.
Future initiatives will be to create a sensory garden at St Michaels, with the involvment of Shire View Centre for the visually impaired. Each project will be designed to declare the wonderful mix of people that are part of Headingley, and redefine it as an inclusive community.
